I scream. You scream. We all scream for ice cream! This month's Summer Potluck on the Lawn will feature hand-cranked ice cream. All are invited on Tuesday, July 9 at 6pm to the second of our three summer potlucks. Please bring an appetizer, side dish or salad to share. The St. John’s Dinner Church cooks will provide an entree and beverages. This gathering is an informal version of our regular Dinner Church with a meal, social time, and an opportunity to engage in a short spiritual discussion and reflection. If the day proves to be too warm, we’ll be dining in the coolness of the air-conditioned Fireside Room. The last potluck is Tuesday, August 13.

eConnect 06.06.19: Celebrate the Holy Spirit
This Sunday is a day when we celebrate the creative, disruptive, comforting, surprising Spirit of God. We celebrate by wearing red, signifying the burning of the Holy Spirit, which appears in the Pentecost story as tongues of flame dancing over the heads of the disciples. We also celebrate the birth of the church and the ongoing presence of the Spirit with with a parish BBQ, complete with hot dogs, hamburgers, and veggie options, snow cones served by the youth, a bouncy house, and even water balloons (for willing participants only).
Around on Saturday and interested in helping out at a homeless shelter? there is a new family moving in to Gilead House in Novato and they need help getting the room ready: cleaning and putting together bunk beds for kids. Contact Ginger to help out - all ages welcome!
